MEN: Embrace your baldness.

Did you see the pic uploaded today about Taylor Swift?! She is wearing a short black wig over her mid-length blond hair. It’s a little weird. When the reporters asked her about it she said that being blond has actually made her self-conscious. She’s tired of blond jokes and hopes this does the trick.

Ok. That didn’t happen...

Some people are blond, some people have curly hair, and some people are bald. And bald can be hot.

Some people, (like me) can’t tan. (No Janice, I can’t tan stop forcing me into the sun!!)

I have at least 7 really good men that I know. One is a doctor, one a policeman, another a lawyer, one a choreographer and the list goes on. Several are full blood Italian, 1 African American, and the others are all the typical mixed American males. They are all diverse but have one thing in common. They’re bald. Totally bald. And, except for the one keeping his options open, they are all successful, happily married men with great spouses. And, based on the collective amount of their children, their wives think they are hot. I say this because every once in a while, I meet a guy who is losing that battle with hair loss.

Listen guys, I know it’s hard to lose something you love.  

Something that has been part of your identity.  But I am going to say it because most of the people who know (and really love) you, won’t. We can tell. We can see when you have to start doing major comb-overs. We can see it when you buy that not so expensive toupee. Or that more expensive weave. We can see. Really.  

Embrace your baldness.

The funny thing about being a woman and love,  is that about 97% of us fall in love with a trait that has little or nothing to do with any part of your hair. Is he sweet? Is he kind? Is he a sharp dresser? Really good blue eyes? Is he really funny? If so , then he looks good to us. (And it doesn't hurt if he smells good - seriously!) Embrace your baldness - and you will look better. Also, Stanley Tucci is my favorite bald actor. Heck, he's one of my favorite actors period!
